BMW picks up three honours at the Environmental Transport Association’s Green Car Awards 2010
Press Release: BMW has won 3 accolades at the Environmental Send Association'south Greenish Motorcar Awards 2010. This year the Environmental Ship Clan examined over 5,000 vehicles to establish the greenest cars on the marketplace for the Dark-green Car Awards 2010. With course wins in the large family unit, off-road and luxury car categories, BMW's EfficientDynamics programme was praised for offer customers outstanding fuel economy and low emissions without compromising driving enjoyment, across the BMW range.
The BMW 7 Serial successfully combines efficiency and opulence to take the award for greenest luxury automobile. With only 181g/km CO2 emissions and returning a combined 40.9 mpg, the BMW 740d demonstrates that existence light-green doesn't have to involve sacrificing luxury.

All of the winning models benefit from BMW's accolade-winning EfficientDynamics technologies, which have been offered as standard since 2007. All the models receive a combination of innovative technologies involving a mixture of Auto Start / End, Brake Free energy Regeneration, Active Aerodynamics, low rolling resistance tires, Electric Power Steering, on-demand ancillary systems and optimum gearshift indicator features.
